HoldingHQ ("HoldingHQ", "we", "us", or "our") is a personal investment portfolio tracker. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By creating an account or using the service you agree to the practices described here.

Information We Collect

We collect only what we need to run the service:

Third-Party Data Providers

To show market context alongside the data you enter, we retrieve information from third-party providers, including:

  • Market quotes and prices for the securities in your portfolio.
  • Financial news and company information related to your holdings.
  • Foreign exchange (FX) rates used to convert between currencies.

These providers supply market data to us; we send them the symbols or currencies needed to fetch that data, not your identity or full portfolio.

AI Processing

Some optional features use AI assistance. For example, when you import a CSV and explicitly enable AI-assisted column mapping, we send only the CSV column headers and a small number of sample rows to an AI provider to suggest how columns map to our fields. This feature is optional and off unless enabled. We do not send your full portfolio or your identity for this purpose.

Cookies and Authentication

We use cookies strictly to keep you signed in and to secure your session. We do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated portfolio data at any time by contacting us, and we will delete it within a reasonable period, subject to any legal retention obligations.

Children

The service is not directed to children and is intended for use by adults managing their own investments.
